What does this mean when Prince says, "Swinging $QQQ @513c @1.47 Nov 27?
- $QQQ is the stock name
- 513c means a call option (denoted by "c") with a strike price of 513. The trader is speculating that the price of QQQ will rise above $513 before the option expires.
- 1.47 is the trade price Prince entered in. The call option is for $1.47 per share. Each option contract typically controls 100 shares, so the total cost for one contract would be $1.47 x 100 = $147.
- Nov 27: This is the expiration date of the option. The option expires on November 27, meaning the trader has until that date to exercise the option.
- In summary, the phrase describes a trade where someone bought a call option for QQQ with a strike price of $513, paying a premium of $1.47 per share, and the option expires on November 27. The trader is likely betting that the price of QQQ will rise above $513 before that date.
- Advice: you would need to do is find that 513c 11/27 like you have done and set the limit price to 1.47. If the buy price is less than the call Prince made, you would be getting it for a cheaper price then Prince did which is a good thing so you wouldn't need to change the limit price.
